Hassan Hajjaj, a Moroccan pioneer of photography and pop art, has recently been lighting up the international scene with exhibitions in the USA, Morocco, and most recently, at the AlUla Arts Festival held in Saudi Arabia from February 9th to March 23rd. His versatile work, known for its authentic and colorful style, has captivated audiences worldwide.

The AlUla exhibition featured images Hajjaj captured during his February 2023 visit. Over three intensive days, he photographed around a hundred people, capturing the rich cultural diversity of AlUla.

Renowned for his unique artistic vision that blends photography, scenography, design, and fashion, Hajjaj brought a breath of fresh air to this ancient city.

His colorful, dynamic portraits—encompassing local shepherds, the AlUla soccer team, and even global personalities like Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz—immortalize each subject in a setting that celebrates their individuality and connection to the city.

Hajjaj's approach goes far beyond simply capturing images. For him, each photo shoot is a performance, where music, clothing, and atmosphere all contribute to creating a space for authentic expression.
