A four-story building collapsed on Thursday afternoon in the Bourgogne neighborhood of Casablanca. Videos shared online show the building crumbling to rubble in seconds, while firefighters and local authorities were present.

The building, located at the intersection of Moulay Youssef and Hank streets, collapsed at around 2:30 PM.

According to the national news broadcaster SNRT, the inhabitants of the building were evacuated on Wednesday, one day before the collapse.

Citing a local authority source, SNRT reports that the collapse is due to work conducted by one of the inhabitants, which allegedly led to significant cracks.
