NamX, a startup founded by French-Moroccan entrepreneur Faouzi Annajah, won the Technology Election Award in the mobility and smart cities category at the closing ceremony of the Viva Technology 2024 international fair in Paris.

On Saturday, May 25, the company was awarded for its innovative hydrogen SUV (HUV), presented for the final time before road testing.

The designer is seeking funding to industrialize this prototype, equipped with a version of V8 Hydrogen Engine Technology and a capsule distribution system. As part of the new generation of hydrogen four-wheelers, the NamX HUV is touted as «the world's first car equipped with a patented removable hydrogen fuel tank system, which promises to revolutionize the experience» of clean energy vehicles.

For the startup's founder, this model represents «a large-scale industrial and technological project that aspires to reconcile human mobility and environmental preservation thanks to green hydrogen».

NamX reportedly has the backing of «the world's largest industrial and technical partners» to ensure the vehicle is ready for delivery by the end of 2025.
