From July 9 to 11, the US capital will host the 75th summit of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). The military alliance has invited Arab countries and Israel to take part in the conclave, announced the US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller at a press briefing on Tuesday.

He cited the presence at the summit of foreign ministers from non-member countries, including «Israel, Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Mauritania, Morocco, Qatar, Tunisia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE)». Miller did not mention Saudi Arabia's participation.

The US spokesman revealed that Antony Blinken would be meeting with his Arab counterparts, stressing that the war in Gaza would be on the agenda for discussion between the parties. However, Matthew Miller declined to confirm that meetings between Arab ministers and the Israeli delegation would be held on the sidelines of the 75th NATO summit in Washington.
