The fire erupted while a tanker truck was filling its fuel oil tank, causing the container to explode and wrecking a parked personnel carrier.
Although there were no human casualties, seven people were taken to Mohamed V hospital for treatment after suffering from asphyxia. Their condition is considered stable.
A judicial inquiry has been opened by the relevant authorities to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
