Omar Berrada, appointed CEO of Manchester United in January this year, officially took up his post on Saturday, July 13. The appointment of the 45-year-old Moroccan executive was announced by the English club on January 20, 2024, following the departure of Richard Arnold.
Born in Paris to Moroccan parents, Omar Berrada began his career in soccer with FC Barcelona in 2004, where he held the position of sponsorship manager before becoming senior media business development director, a position he held until 2011.
He then joined Manchester City as Chief Football Operations Officer of the City Football Group (CFG), where he contributed to the club's 22 league titles and the acquisition of renowned players, including Erling Haaland.
As Manchester United's new CEO, Omar Berrada's mission is to revitalize the commercial aspects of the Premier League's most successful club.
