Hundreds of Moroccans took to the streets on the evening of July 31, in a demonstration organized by the National Action Group for Palestine. The protest was in response to the killing of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in an Israeli raid that targeted his residence, Wednesday, in Tehran, Iran.
Participants waved Palestinian flags and chanted slogans in support of the Palestinian resistance and the resilience of the people of Gaza in the face of ongoing Israeli aggression, which has been occurring since last October.
The demonstrators also voiced opposition to the normalization agreements signed between Arab countries, including Morocco, and Israel. They called for an end to normalization and demanded the closure of the Israeli liaison office in Rabat.
The National Action Group for Palestine stated that the demonstration is «a continuation of the Al-Aqsa Flood events, a stand against barbaric aggression and genocidal war, and a call to end the cancerous and subversive normalization in our country».
