A flight from the Netherlands to Morocco was disrupted following an argument between two passengers on board. Dutch media reports say that a Transavia plane bound for Marrakech from Amsterdam-Schiphol had to turn back to its point of departure on Thursday, August 8. Once landed, the two men were removed from the aircraft by the staff. The plane departed again two and a half hours later.

The Koninklijke Marechaussee, a police force that is part of the Dutch army and responsible for border security, told RTL Nieuws that the incident involved two Dutch nationals who refused to follow staff instructions and behaved aggressively.

The reason for the passengers' behavior is not entirely clear. According to witnesses, the men were upset because they had been assigned the wrong seats. A Transavia spokesperson confirmed that a report had been filed against the men.

The plane initially took off shortly after 5 p.m. but had to do a u-turn between France and Belgium. After the Koninklijke Marechaussee evacuated the two individuals, the plane took off again from Schiphol at around 7:30 p.m.
