Morocco condemns the Israeli army's bombardment of schools and hospitals in Gaza. This position was voiced on August 14 in Dakhla by Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita during a joint press briefing with his Chadian counterpart. On August 9, an airstrike on a school in Gaza sheltering displaced Palestinians killed more than 100 people.

The Moroccan foreign minister also denounced the «incursions carried out by members of the Israeli government at the Al Aqsa Mosque» in Al Quds. Bourita was referring to the operation conducted on Wednesday, August 14, by Israeli Minister of National Security Otamar Ben Gvir and a group of Jewish extremists at the same mosque.

Bourita emphasized that King Mohammed VI prioritizes the Palestinian issue, as demonstrated by the king's mention of the matter in his July 29 throne speech. «The interest we take in the internal affairs of our country cannot distract us from the tragedy of the brotherly Palestinian people», said King Mohammed VI.

The kingdom, Nasser Bourita reiterated, supports a two-state solution and an end to the escalation. In this context, he noted that Morocco backs the mediation efforts of Egypt, Qatar, and the United States to achieve a ceasefire.
