Football : Youssef En-Nesyri nets first goal for Fenerbahçe

On Saturday, August 17, Moroccan international Youssef En-Nesyri scored his first goal for his new club, Fenerbahçe, in a 2-2 draw against Göztepe in the second round of the Turkish Süper Lig.

Bosnian Edin Džeko opened the scoring for Fenerbahçe in the 45+3rd minute, before En-Nesyri doubled the lead just four minutes later.

Göztepe fought back, with Koray Günter pulling one back in the 68th minute and Rômulo equalizing in the 90+5th minute.

With this result, Fenerbahçe provisionally occupies third place in the Süper Lig standings with four points, while Göztepe climbed to eighth with two points.

En-Nesyri joined Fenerbahçe on July 25, 2024, signing a five-year contract with José Mourinho's side after a four-year spell with Sevilla in Spain.
