5.4 magnitude earthquake strikes Portugal, tremors felt in Morocco

A powerful earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale struck off the coast of Portugal early Monday morning, around 6:11 AM (Madrid time). The Spanish Geographical Institute located the epicenter in the Lisbon maritime area.

The tremors were felt not only in Portugal but also in neighboring Morocco, particularly in the Casablanca region. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 19 kilometers.
