110 arrested in Casablanca following football match violence

Security operations conducted in Casablanca during the match between Raja Casablanca and the Nigerian National Guard on Saturday, August 24, led to the arrest of 110 people, including 55 minors, suspected of involvement in sports hooliganism, assaulting public officials, and causing property damage.

According to a security source, the suspects were apprehended for their participation in these criminal acts, which included resisting public forces and throwing stones, resulting in damage to two national security vehicles and injuries to three police officers.

The adult suspects were detained, while the two minors were kept under surveillance. All individuals are being investigated under the supervision of the competent public prosecution, and authorities are continuing to search for additional suspects involved in these crimes.
