Following his appearance on the Algerian public channel AL24 News, where he made numerous false claims, particularly about royal advisor André Azoulay and Morocco, Ghezzar has been removed from French channel RMC's Les Grandes Gueules.

«Following unacceptable comments made by Mehdi Ghezzar on foreign television, the management of RMC and Les Grandes Gueules have decided to end his participation in the show», the program announced on Tuesday.

The decision was also shared on social media, with the added note that «RMC and the hosts of Les Grandes Gueules dissociate themselves from these remarks made in a personal capacity. They do not correspond to the values of RMC and Les Grandes Gueules», the statement concluded.

Ghezzar’s comments on AL24 News were widely criticized, particularly his accusations against Morocco, King Mohammed VI, and André Azoulay. He highlighted Azoulay’s Jewish faith and falsely claimed that the Moroccan government censored discussions on Palestine, alleging that demonstrations were banned by a supposed «royal decree» supported by Azoulay.

Ghezzar also described Morocco as «teleguided» by Israel and under the influence of a «foreign party», attributing Algeria’s resistance to a «Zionist diktat» as the reason for its targeting. He further alleged that André Azoulay held Israeli nationality and had censored the Moroccan people.

These remarks were condemned by many French citizens and dual nationals, who labeled them as «fake and anti-Semitic», leading to widespread calls for RMC to end its collaboration with Ghezzar.
