Moroccan international footballer Bilal El Khannouss will be signed by English club Leicester City. According to Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, Leicester City has agreed to sign the attacking midfielder from Belgian Pro League club Genk.

El Khannouss is set to join Leicester City on a €20.5 million package deal, Romano wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday. «A 15% sell-on clause is also included», he added.

Born in Belgium, El Khannouss moved to Genk in 2019 from Anderlecht. A former youth international for Belgium, El Khannouss switched to represent the Morocco U20s.

He was also part of the squad that won a bronze medal at the U-23 Olympic games held earlier this summer in Paris.

Bilal El Khannouss scored one goal during his participation with the Moroccan team in the Paris 2024 Olympics. His goal contributed to Morocco's 6-0 victory over Egypt, which secured the bronze medal for the team.
