In 2024, the Spanish government allocated over 12 million euros in humanitarian aid to the population of the Tindouf camps in Algeria. «This figure represents a significant increase on the previous year», boasted Spanish media close to the Front.

The Spanish government granted the Tindouf camps €7 million in humanitarian aid in 2023 and €3.6 million in 2022. This assistance is made available to the Polisario through the Saharawi Red Crescent. This organization is responsible for receiving, collecting, and distributing all international aid.

Algeria also benefits from the generosity of the Spanish government. In 2024, the state-run Algerian Red Crescent received €1.7 million «to improve food and living conditions and promote healthy habits among disabled people in the Tindouf camps», according to the same sources. This funding has gone unnoticed in Algeria.

In addition to the central government in Madrid, the 17 autonomous regions also allocate aid to the Polisario.
