Silicon Valley's Founder Institute launches program tailored to Moroccan entrepreneurs

The Founder Institute (FI), an American business incubator, announced on Thursday, August 29, the launch of its program in Morocco. Dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs, this program will provide coaching and mentoring to turn innovative ideas into successful businesses, according to a press release by FI.

By coming to Morocco, the Founder Institute aims to «boost the local entrepreneurial ecosystem», offering company founders a structured and an internationally proven program tailored to the specificities of the Moroccan market.

Through this FI program, participants can have access to a network of local and international mentors, investors, and alumni, sharing their know-how and providing resources crucial for the development their projects.

The program will primarily take place in a digital format, with sessions comprising practical workshops and case studies. One-on-one mentoring sessions with local and international experts will also be available.

«This program is an exceptional opportunity for Moroccan entrepreneurs to move from idea to realization with the support of a global community of leaders in the technology and entrepreneurial sectors», said Hicham Sentissi, Omar Layachi, and Youssef Koun, leaders of the Founder Institute Morocco. «We are very hopeful that this program will have a strong impact within the ecosystem, with a desire to include corporates of all sizes in our approach».

The Founder Institute Morocco has been accepting applications since August 29 for its first cohort of budding entrepreneurs and founders with existing companies in the acceleration phase.

The inaugural presentation event on fundraising in Morocco will take place on September 10th. The acceleration program itself will begin in February 2025.

Founded in 2009 in Palo Alto, California, the Founder Institute is present in over 200 cities around the globe. It has helped launch more than 7,000 technology companies, providing access to over 35,000 mentors. Startups that have gone through the program have raised over $1.75 billion.
