Digital Transition Minister honors Moroccan students' bronze win at Informatics Olympiad

Ghita Mezzour, Minister of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, received on Tuesday, September 10, members of the Moroccan team that won the bronze medal at the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), held this year in Cairo, at the Ministry's headquarters in Rabat. The event brought together around 390 participants from 96 countries, and Morocco performed brilliantly, according to a press release by the ministry.

In her speech, delivered in the presence of the families and supervisors of the young Moroccan participants, Mezzour reaffirmed her department's commitment to supporting Moroccan talent in this competition.

She stressed that this support stems from the Ministry's belief in the importance of promoting local skills in innovative fields.

Mezzour also reaffirmed the Ministry's ongoing support for young Moroccan talent, from all regions of the Kingdom, in order to stimulate the spirit of competition, encourage innovation, and strengthen the country's socioeconomic development.

She praised Morocco's outstanding performance, which enabled it to rank first among Arab and African countries at the Olympiad.

The latter is the biggest international event dedicated to high school students excelling in subjects related to software, programming, and algorithms.
