On Saturday, September 14, the Rif nationalist party organized a demonstration in Brussels to protest against «the European Union's support for the Moroccan occupation of the Rif». However, the expected turnout did not materialize, with a Polisario media outlet estimating the number of participants at «500 people».

In addition to the Front's media, the official Algerian channel AL24 News covered the event and gave the floor to the party's leader, Yuba El Ghadioui. In his condemnation of the «Moroccan colonization of the Rif», he voiced his support for the Polisario and accused «the European Union of sacrificing the Saharawi people and the people of the Rif on the altar of its interests with Morocco».

The group's representative in Algeria, Farouk Rifi, also appeared on Algerian media. Notably, in March 2024, the Rif nationalist party opened a representative office in Algiers.

In September 2023, Yuba El Ghadioui had requested the Algerian authorities «to welcome Rifans fleeing Morocco and to open its training centers to them, so they can learn how to handle weapons». Algeria continues to call on Rif separatists to support the Polisario at meetings of the UN Committee of 24.
