The Spanish National Police identified and arrested an individual in Segovia based on an international arrest and extradition warrant issued by Morocco. The suspect was involved, along with others, in purchasing products online from shopping centers in Morocco using stolen bank cards.

Spanish authorities began their investigation on August 20 after reviewing documents submitted to the Foreigners Office in Segovia, located about 90 kilometers from Madrid. The individual had applied for residency in Spain, but upon closer inspection, it was revealed that he was wanted by Moroccan authorities on charges of forgery, high-tech crimes, and electronic fraud.

The Spanish police subsequently arrested the Moroccan national and referred the case to the National Court in Madrid.
