In response to recent migration attempts from M'diq-Fnideq, the National Council for Human Rights (CNDH) has reaffirmed its commitment to protecting human rights. The CNDH urged individuals who have experienced rights violations, including minors and their guardians, to contact the institution for support and protection. The Council invited those affected to come forward within the framework of its central and regional jurisdictions.
In a statement released on Thursday, the CNDH confirmed that it is closely monitoring the situation on the ground, as well as online and on social media, regarding past and ongoing attempts at irregular migration. The Council expressed particular concern about misleading or viral content on these platforms.
Additionally, the CNDH reiterated its support for the Tangier-Tetouan Al Hoceïma Regional Human Rights Council (CRDH) in overseeing the trials of individuals arrested and prosecuted in relation to these incidents.
