Since its creation on September 17, 2023, in Brussels, the leaders of the «Rifian nationalist party» have been constantly reaching out to the Polisario to establish cooperation between the two entities. In the Tindouf camps, these calls are greeted with suspicion.

«Any Polisario participation in an activity devoted to the Rif question must be preceded by a precise assessment of strategic objectives and interests», warned the same source. The media warned that «confusion of positions and misuse of adversaries could harm the Polisario and weaken its position in international forums. Any haphazard and random mobilization in such matters could damage the Polisario’s reputation and distort its positions in the eyes of international public opinion».
These warnings come a week after the march organized by the Rifian nationalist party on Saturday, September 14, in Brussels, which was marked by a low turnout of its members.
After opening a representative office in Algiers, the «Rifian nationalist party» called on the Polisario to coordinate their actions «in order to confront the Moroccan occupation». This announcement was made at a press briefing held by its representative in Algeria last March. At the time, he also expressed his party’s willingness to «open an office in the Tindouf camps».
