Spanish police have seized a total of 22 stolen vehicles in the port of Tarifa over the past three weeks. The vehicles, equipped with fake license plates and documentation, were intercepted during inspections in the port's vehicle inspection area.

In collaboration with the Customs Investigation Office (UDAIFF), authorities conducted thorough checks to prevent the shipment of these stolen vehicles to Tangier. All of the recovered vehicles are luxury models, including a Porsche 911 Carrera stolen in Denmark (valued at €125,000) and an Audi RS6 stolen in Germany (valued at €225,000).

In total, authorities recovered 16 cars, 5 motorcycles, and an ATV, all with fake papers and license plates. The local police in Tarifa actively participated in the operation, assisting with vehicle stops and the identification of fraudulent documents.

As a result of these efforts, 9 individuals were arrested, and 7 others are under investigation for theft, use of stolen vehicles, receiving stolen goods, and document forgery.

Investigations are ongoing, and the Civil Guard continues its efforts to dismantle international networks involved in stealing and trafficking stolen vehicles from Europe to North Africa.
