Death toll rises to 14 in Tata bus tragedy amid ongoing search efforts

Local authorities in Tata have discovered another body of a man among the victims of the bus that was swept away during the September 20 floods in the region.

«The competent health authorities at the Tata regional hospital are working to identify the victim, who was found near Sidi Mahdaoui», Mbarek Outachrifat, head of the Ifous Forum, a local NGO, told Yabiladi on Monday evening.

The total number of bodies recovered after the bus accident has now reached 14, and the search for the missing continues, while 13 people have been rescued. With the assistance of volunteer youth from neighboring villages, local authorities found the body of a young woman from the Ighorten village in the Takzmirt commune. She had gone out to search for her father, who was tending sheep.
