The University Center for Mental Health and Well-being L'Eucalyptus celebrated its first anniversary on October 10th, coinciding with World Mental Health Day. The celebration featured a conference on «Mental Health at Work: Issues and Challenges».

In a press release, the facility emphasized the undeniable link between mental health and the workplace. «Creating healthy and safe work environments is crucial for preserving employees' mental well-being», the institution stated.

The institution explained that the COVID-19 health crisis and the subsequent shift to remote work significantly impacted employees' mental health, leading to feelings of isolation, loneliness, and difficulty in maintaining boundaries between professional and personal life.

Additionally, the design of workspaces plays a vital role in preserving employees' mental well-being. Numerous studies have demonstrated the positive impact of thoughtfully designed workspaces. They can reduce stress, improve concentration, and foster a supportive and collaborative work culture.

Globally, the World Health Organization estimates that depression and anxiety result in the loss of 12 billion working days annually.

It is worth noting that the University Center for Mental Health and Well-being L'Eucalyptus is an esteemed institution affiliated with the Mohammed VI International University Hospital and part of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Sciences and Health.

With a university-affiliated, multidisciplinary team composed of psychiatry teachers, experienced psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and other mental health professionals, the University Center for Mental Health and Well-being L'Eucalyptus offers personalized care tailored to the specific needs of each patient, whether a child, adolescent, young adult, or senior.

Finally, the Center maintains close ties with the Mohammed VI University of Sciences and Health, the Mohammed VI International University Hospital of Bouskoura, and the Cheikh Khalifa International University Hospital, providing patients with access to a wide range of resources and expertise.
