A French citizen of Guinean origin, who was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by the French judiciary, has been arrested by security authorities at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca.

The 27-year-old suspect was taken into custody immediately upon arrival from a flight originating in Guinea. A check against the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) database revealed that he was internationally wanted under a Red Notice issued by the National Central Bureau in Paris for his alleged involvement in a criminal network engaged in smuggling cocaine and heroin.
