Bilal Benhammou, the 2024 Master Zlayji Award winner, has achieved great success at the international level, having won third place in the Best Zlayji Master competition, organized by Sika BFM in China. This success reflects Moroccan skills and expertise in the art of zellige installation.
The competition attracted 56 participants from 13 countries, with China winning first place and Ecuador coming in second. The event included two stages of competition: a theoretical one on November 8, and a practical one on November 9, 2024, in which Bilal Benhammou managed to reach the podium thanks to his outstanding performance.
Morocco participated in this prestigious event for the second time, represented by the winner of the Master Zlayji 2024 edition. This edition was characterized by the skill and experience of the Moroccan craftsman, who relied on the theoretical and practical training provided by Super Cerame, a branch of the Ynna Group, and Sika Maroc.
The two companies organized the Master Zlayji competition, a unique national competition dedicated to Moroccan professionals specialized in glazing, with the aim of promoting excellence in the sector. The event has become a landmark event that contributes to the development of Moroccan professionals in the art of zellige installation.
The 2024 edition of Master Zlayji broke records with the participation of 1,500 contestants, three times the number of entries in the first edition. This success reflects the growing interest of professionals in the event and the commitment of Super Cerame and Sika Maroc to support and develop national talent.
