The 3rd edition of the Africa Business Forum 2024, a platform for dialogue and collaboration between Africa, Qatar, and other Middle Eastern and global partners, will be held in Marrakech on November 16-17.

Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch will chair the event on behalf of Morocco, while Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, President of Years of Culture, will represent Qatar.

Prominent figures expected to attend include Lauren Dreyer, Vice President of Starlink Business Operations at SpaceX; Roy Swan, Head of the Mission Investments team at the Ford Foundation; Teresa Clarke, President and CEO of Africa.com; renowned designer and entrepreneur Ozwald Boateng; and international actor and businessman Idris Elba.

The forum will gather 350 leading figures from both the public and private sectors to address key issues shaping Africa's future. This year’s theme, «Investing in AI for Tomorrow's Growth», will explore the transformative potential of artificial intelligence.

High-level delegates will discuss groundbreaking innovations and visionary leadership, forging new avenues for successful partnerships. They will examine how AI can unlock Africa's economic potential, promote sustainable development, and improve communities across the continent.

The forum aims to accelerate South-South cooperation through joint projects focused on artificial intelligence, technological innovation, and sustainability; to discuss Africa’s role in the global economy with a focus on agriculture, smart urbanization, and renewable energy; and to prepare for future sports and economic infrastructure needs, inspired by Qatar’s experience hosting the FIFA World Cup 2022.
