Four patients died simultaneously on Wednesday in the resuscitation department of the Moulay Youssef Regional Hospital in Rabat, prompting the Ministry of Health to launch an investigation into the incident.

There are conflicting reports about the cause of their deaths. While some sources suggest a power outage and the failure of the backup generator, which caused the oxygen supply to stop, other sources point to human error related to changing the oxygen bottles.

According to Hespress, a committee from the Ministry of Health and Social Protection launched an investigation on Thursday to determine the cause of the incident.

A medical source was quoted as saying that the deaths were 'caused by human error rather than technical reasons,' prompting the ministry to visit the hospital on Thursday morning to verify this.
