The Telegraph and The Times have highlighted Morocco as one of the best value-for-money destinations, while Chase Travel has included the country in its «25 Trips To Take In 2025» list. Lonely Planet, which named Morocco among its top travel picks for 2024, specifically recommends climbing Jebel Toubkal in the High Atlas, North Africa's highest peak at 4,167 meters.
The rising interest in Morocco's mountain region comes as the country experiences increased tourism attention. The nation's modern rail network provides affordable and efficient transportation, contributing to its accessibility. Marrakesh, serving as a gateway to the Atlas Mountains, was noted as one of the most economical all-inclusive destinations outside Europe in 2023.
