Pakistani authorities have intercepted a passenger attempting to use Morocco as a transit point for irregular migration to Europe. The incident occurred at Jinnah Terminal, where Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration officials detected suspicious behavior during routine screening procedures.

According to The Express Tribune, the suspect, identified as Saddam Hussain, was apprehended while attempting to travel to Morocco on a visit visa. During questioning by General Checking Officers, Hussain revealed his intention to irregularly cross into Spain and Italy. He disclosed paying Rs800,000, approximately 29,000 MAD, to an agent from Sheikhupura for the Moroccan visa.

The investigation uncovered a broader trafficking network, with Hussain connecting to traffickers Jabbar and Qari Amjad via WhatsApp. Hussain had agreed to pay $2,000 upfront and $13,000 upon reaching Spain or Italy to Qari Amjad, who operates from abroad and allegedly profits from organizing dangerous sea crossings to Europe.

The suspect has been transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle for further investigation, based on the evidence collected.
