As part of the incident that occurred on a street in Rabat, which involved a chase between a group of drivers, the driver of the private vehicle was placed in Tamesna local prison yesterday, Monday, on charges related to «attempted murder, transporting passengers without a license, dangerous driving endangering road users, causing panic, and interfering with other vehicles».

The public prosecutor's office also decided to imprison four taxi drivers on charges of «stopping their vehicles on a public road, causing traffic obstruction, driving in a manner that threatens road users' safety, as well as causing panic and interfering with other vehicles», according to Hespress.

Security authorities intervened last Thursday after a video spread on social media showing a chase between taxi drivers and a private car driver working through smart applications, near Prince Moulay Abdellah Complex at the entrance to the highway towards Casablanca, which threatened to cause serious traffic accidents.
