2025 is here and many are curious about the year's holidays calendar and how to make the most out of it. The good news? Most public (bank) holidays don’t fall on weekends, offering more opportunities to unwind and celebrate. Do you plan your trips and book in advance, or are you a fan of last-minute adventures ? Whether you’re someone who carefully plans trips in advance or enjoys spontaneous getaways, here’s an overview of the key holidays for 2025 in Morocco.

For those who enjoy extended vacations, some dates will rarely fall on Saturdays or Sundays. The first holiday is New Year's Day, Wednesday, January 1, 2025—a perfect opportunity to set your resolutions for the year.

The second is Saturday, January 11, commemorating the Anniversary of the Independence Manifesto. January 13 marks the official Amazigh New Year, a chance to enjoy tagoula and other Amazigh specialties.

Aligned with the Hijri calendar, Eid al-Fitr will fall on either Sunday, March 30, or Monday, March 31. Prepare for family gatherings in advance!

May 1, International Workers' Day will fall on a Thursday, celebrate your professional achievements. Eid al-Adha will occur on Friday, June 6, or Saturday, June 7, 2025.

A succession of national and religious celebrations

The Feast of the Throne on Wednesday, July 30, offers a midweek break from routine.

August 14, 20, and 21 (Thursday, Wednesday, and Thursday) bring three consecutive occasions to celebrate national pride in this festive summer month.

The year concludes with more holidays: Eid al-Mawlid on September 4 or 5 (Thursday or Friday), celebrating the Prophet Mohammed's birth, allows for an extended weekend.

Friday, November 6, marks the Green March, a day of pride and reflection, leading into Saturday and Sunday. Lastly, Tuesday, November 18, Independence Day, provides an opportunity to honor Morocco’s liberation and rich heritage.
