The Morocco team bowed out of the Kings League World Cup after a narrow 2-1 defeat to Colombia in the semi-finals, held in Milan on Friday.

Morocco took an early lead with a goal from Nadir Louah in the third minute. However, Colombia responded with determination, leveling the score through Julio Perea in the seventh minute and taking the lead with Angelo Caro's strike in the 19th minute.

Morocco's hopes were briefly reignited when Mbark Boussoufa found the net, seemingly equalizing the score. Yet, after a review with the «VAR» technology, the referee disallowed the goal, sealing Colombia's path to the final. They will now face the winner of the Brazil vs. Mexico showdown.

The Moroccan team's journey in the Kings League began with a group stage loss to Colombia. However, they showcased resilience in the knockout rounds, securing victories against Ukraine, Japan, and the USA in the quarter-finals.

The Kings League, a distinctive seven-a-side football format, was launched in Spain in 2022 by former Barcelona star Gerard Piqué, alongside 12 prominent Spanish-speaking content creators. The league's innovative system and interactive rules have captivated audiences on platforms like Twitch and YouTube.

The World Cup of the Kings League features 16 teams, with matches played in two 20-minute halves and a unique twist of golden cards that offer teams special advantages once per match.
