Storm Herminia halts Tarifa-Tangier ferry services

Storm Herminia has wreaked havoc in the Strait of Gibraltar, leading to the cancellation of most ferry services between Tarifa and Tangier on Monday. The adverse weather conditions have also impacted operations at the Port of Algeciras, resulting in delays and further cancellations.

According to local media reports, the Port of Tarifa saw the cancellation of three scheduled sailings by Africa Morocco Link at 10:00, 14:00, and 20:00. Meanwhile, two FRS Iberia S.L. sailings, initially set for 17:00 and 21:00, remain under confirmation.

In Algeciras, the storm caused a delay for a ferry bound for Tanger Med earlier today, and the 09:00 service operated by FRS Iberia S.L. was canceled.

Despite the disruptions, the Algeciras-Sebta route has not experienced any cancellations or delays, and other services to Tanger Med continue as scheduled.
