One dead, several injured due to gas cylinder explosion in Casablanca

Tragedy struck the La Gironde neighborhood of Casablanca on Friday morning when a devastating fire, triggered by a gas cylinder explosion, claimed the life of one individual and left others with varying degrees of burns.

According to a report by «Ahdath Info», residents in the vicinity recounted hearing a massive explosion. Upon investigating, they discovered that the force of the blast had propelled furniture from the affected apartment onto the street. The explosion was attributed to a large gas cylinder.

Preliminary investigations suggest that a gas leak from a butane cylinder inside the apartment was the catalyst for the fire, which completely engulfed the residence. Firefighting teams promptly arrived at the scene to battle the blaze, while emergency services rushed the victim and the injured to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
