Dislog Group acquires Venezia Ice in major Moroccan deal

Dislog Group and the Bougrine family have announced that Dislog Group has acquired all of Venezia Ice's operations, including its distribution network, Venezia Ice & Bakery, and the MCDF food manufacturing and preparation plant.

This strategic move strengthens Dislog Group's Food Business Unit and solidifies its position as a key player in food production. It aligns with the group’s vision to expand its role in the everyday life economy by advancing the manufacturing and distribution of hygiene, food, and health products. With 150 brands, both owned and partnered, Dislog Group continues to enhance consumers' daily lives in Morocco and Europe.

Sghir Bougrine, founder of Venezia Ice, stated, «This transaction marks a new chapter for the Venezia group, which will benefit from Dislog Group's support and expertise to strengthen its position, expand its offerings, and uphold its commitment to clients and employees». He further emphasized, «To ensure a smooth transition, I will remain involved in management for the coming years».

Moncef Belkhayat, CEO of Dislog Group, added, «This acquisition reinforces our presence in the food industry and aligns with our growth strategy through acquisitions. It also enables us to create synergies and optimize structural costs».

The selling party was advised by Julien Leyrit, Financial Advisory Partner at Deloitte, while Dislog Group was supported on legal matters by Hilmi Law Firm and on tax issues by Hdid & Associés.

The transaction remains subject to approval by the relevant authorities, notably the Competition Council, as well as the finalization of contractual agreements between the parties involved.
