The Casablanca Court of Appeal upheld on Monday the initial ruling against Moroccan YouTuber Reda Bouzidi, known as «Weld El Chinwiya», and confirmed the sentence issued against TikToker «Bent Abbas».
The primary court had sentenced Weld El Chinwiya to three years in prison, while Bent Abbas received a two-and-a-half-year prison sentence.
The defendants were prosecuted on charges including «insult and defamation, violating others' privacy by spreading allegations online the purpose of defamation, attacking others' property, issuing insults and threats, causing chaos within a security facility, and threatening to commit a felony».
