The Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca, just days after its grand reopening following extensive renovations that required a substantial budget, has been subjected to acts of vandalism affecting its facilities, including the stadium seats and restrooms, which were damaged and uprooted.

Fingers have been pointed at certain individuals associated with the Hassania Agadir fans, in the wake of the match that brought the Souss team against its host, Raja Casablanca, as part of the 27th round of the Moroccan Professional League.

Images and videos documenting the extent of the vandalism spread across social media, showing the sanitary facilities in complete disarray, sparking widespread discontent and public condemnation of these behaviors, described as "uncivilized."

Many observers expressed their regret over the incident, considering that such actions not only damage the sports infrastructure but also tarnish the image of Moroccan fans, contradicting the values of sports and the spirit of fair competition.

In this context, Abdellatif Naciri, Vice Mayor of Casablanca, posted on his Facebook account, accompanied by photos documenting the extent of the damage, stating, "What happened is unfortunate and painful, and has nothing to do with the values and ethics of Moroccans. Is it with this mentality that we expect to host upcoming sporting events?"

Naciri added in a harsh tone, "You enter the stadium, chant offensive slogans, vandalize and steal, then leave to cry and spread misinformation. What happened with some individuals associated with the Hassania Agadir fans requires us to firmly confront stadium violence in all its forms, both physical and moral."

In a development of the events, the security authorities have launched an arrest campaign targeting several individuals belonging to the Souss team supporters, while the officials are working in coordination with the stadium management to prepare a detailed report based on surveillance camera recordings installed within the complex.
