The National Road Safety Agency (NARSA) is urging Moroccan drivers to comply with regulations on license plate formatting for vehicles traveling abroad, in accordance with Article 28 of Decree No. 2711-10 issued by the Ministry of Equipment. This decree, which governs the registration of motor vehicles and trailers, was recently updated to introduce a standardized format for rear license plates.
Under the new guidelines, license plates must include Latin characters corresponding to the Arabic letters on the national registration, along with the country code «MA» to indicate Morocco as the country of origin.

These measures are intended to enhance road safety and improve the travel experience for drivers abroad, particularly during the busy summer travel season. NARSA emphasized the importance of adhering to these rules amid the seasonal surge in international travel.
