Following a strong wave of solidarity and multiple interventions, Morocco’s Ministry of Health and Social Protection has agreed to cover the treatment costs for Firdaous Bousarfane, a young girl from Aguelmous, a town in Khénifra province. Firdaous suffers from a rare condition known as primary immunodeficiency, and the ministry will now provide her with immunoglobulin medication, which costs 16,950 dirhams.

The head of the Aguelmous commune shared the news on social media, praising the dedicated support of the governor of Khénifra province and highlighting the key role played by MP Saadia Amahzoune, whose interventions he described as «numerous and decisive» in saving the girl’s life.

The decision comes in response to pleas from Firdaous’ father, who lives in a precarious situation in the High Atlas Mountains and was unable to afford the treatment on his own.

Reacting to the news, Abderrahim, the girl’s father, expressed heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported the family. He extended special gratitude to the governor, local representatives, the head of the Aguelmous commune, and all those who offered help or showed compassion, whether near or far, saying: «You saved my daughter… May God protect your children».

Earlier, MP Amahzoune had sent an appeal to Health Minister Amine Tahraoui, urging urgent action to save Firdaous’ life. She called for a sustainable solution through regular access to medication and immediate social support for the family.
