Moroccan U20 team calls Ilyass Mahssoub for World Cup in Santiago

The Moroccan U20 football team’s coach, Mohamed Ouahbi, has summoned Ilyass Mahssoub from Union Sportive Musulmane d’Oujda (USMO) to join the squad currently in Santiago for the World Cup in this category.

As reported by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation's website, Mahssoub's call-up comes as a replacement for Hamza Koutoune. Koutoune was unable to join the Atlas Cubs because his club, FC Annecy in France, did not grant permission.

Morocco is set to compete in Group C and will face off against Spain this Sunday at 9:00 PM. The group also features Brazil and Mexico.
