The number of overnight stays in classified tourist accommodation establishments (EHTC) soared past 17.13 million by the end of July 2025, marking a 12% rise compared to the same period last year, as reported by the Tourism Observatory.

This surge is attributed to a 6% growth in domestic tourism and a 14% increase in international tourism, according to the observatory's statistics on Morocco's tourism sector for July 2025.

During this timeframe, cities such as Tangier (21%), Casablanca (18%), Fez (15%), Essaouira (11%), Agadir (9%), Al Haouz (6%), and Marrakech (5%) experienced notable growth compared to the end of July 2024, the same source reveals.

Foreign exchange earnings from non-resident tourists exceeded 67.14 billion dirhams (MMDH) in the first seven months of 2025, reflecting a 13% increase.

By the end of July, tourist arrivals at border crossings reached 11,581,413, marking a 16% increase over the same period last year.
