U20 World Cup : Morocco falls to Mexico but keeps top spot in Group C

The Moroccan under-20 national team was defeated 1–0 by Mexico on Saturday evening in Valparaíso, in a Group C match of the FIFA U20 World Cup taking place in Chile.

The only goal of the game came from a penalty converted by Gilberto Mora in the 51st minute.

Despite the loss, Morocco, which won its first two matches against Spain (2–0) and Brazil (2–1), remains at the top of the standings with 6 points, ahead of Mexico (5 pts), Spain (4 pts), and Brazil (1 pt).

In the group’s other fixture, Spain beat Brazil 1–0.
