In the Italian town of Treia, near Macerata, police finally ran out of patience with a 29-year-old Moroccan man who turned house arrest into a revolving door.

Under house arrest for drug-related charges, the man was reportedly caught trying to escape from his home more than 20 times, local media reported on Thursday.

After repeated violations, the Carabinieri executed a new order from the Ancona Public Prosecutor’s Office, revoking his house arrest and sending him straight to prison. During his many escapades, he also allegedly committed several thefts, earning himself additional charges.

Following formal procedures, the 29-year-old was transferred to Fermo prison, where he will serve the remaining one year and five days of his sentence, this time, with no chance to slip away.
