Direct social aid : Less than 1.3% of applications rejected monthly in 2025
DR

Minister of Economy and Finance Nadia Fettah announced on Monday before the House of Representatives that less than 1.3% of applications for direct social aid are rejected each month in 2025.

Responding to a question from the Istiqlal group on «issues related to direct social assistance», Fettah explained that 3.9 million households are currently benefiting from the program, compared to 2.6 million in January 2024.

She added that 62% of beneficiary households receive assistance related to childhood risk protection, while one-third benefit from flat-rate aid.

As for the rejected applications, the Minister clarified that these cases are mainly due to changes in the household’s situation or that of its members. She stressed that the program is a strategic Royal initiative, implemented within a clear, transparent, and equitable institutional and legal framework, based on the Unified Social Register (RSU).
