In a rare break from the usual tensions surrounding the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) and its stance toward Morocco, the Kabyle Football Federation has extended warm congratulations to Morocco’s U20 national team for their historic World Cup victory in Chile.
In an official statement, the federation emphasized that the triumph «honors not only the Kingdom of Morocco but also all Amazigh peoples and, beyond that, the entire African continent».
It went on to praise «the determination, talent, and team spirit demonstrated by the Moroccan players, as well as the exemplary work of the technical staff and national sports authorities who have proudly raised the Kingdom’s colors».
The statement also highlighted the «brotherly friendship» among the peoples of North Africa, marking a positive gesture that contrasts sharply with the disinformation often surrounding Moroccan football in Algerian media.
