On Monday morning, November 3, the city of Fez welcomed 48 new urban transport buses, marking the first step in a major effort to modernize its public transport network and enhance service quality.
The first batch arrived around 6:30 a.m. and was taken to the reception and inspection center at the Grand Fez Complex on Sefrou Road, where the vehicles underwent technical checks and logistical preparations before officially entering service in the coming days.
The rollout forms part of the city’s transport fleet renewal program, managed by ISSAL Fez, and aligns with the national urban transport improvement plan led by the Ministry of the Interior in coordination with local authorities.
According to media reports, Fez is expected to receive a second batch of around 50 buses over the next four weeks, accelerating the modernization process as the city prepares to host upcoming continental and international sporting events.
