Morocco's National Commission for the Control of Personal Data Protection (CNDP) has strengthened its capacity to monitor the improper publication of personal data on the dark web.
In a statement released on Friday, the CNDP said it will alert the data controllers concerned and apply the measures provided for by law—particularly in cases where the processing of personal data has not been previously declared to the Commission, as required by Law 09-08.
To support this effort, the first tool used to automate this monitoring has been provided by the company DEFENDIS. The CNDP added that it plans to acquire additional tools in the future to enhance its detection and response capabilities.
