Morocco finds itself in Group A for the upcoming Women's Africa Cup of Nations, set to unfold from March 17 to April 3 next year on home soil. The national team will face off against Algeria, Senegal, and Kenya, as determined by the draw conducted Thursday at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Salé.

This year's tournament sees an expansion to 16 teams, up from the previous 12, divided into four groups of four. Following the group stage, the top two teams from each group will proceed to the knockout rounds.

The tournament's semifinalists will earn direct qualification for the Women's World Cup, slated for 2027 in Brazil. Those who fall short in the semifinals will have another chance through intercontinental playoffs.

Group Composition:

Group A: Morocco, Algeria, Senegal, Kenya

Group B: South Africa, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Tanzania

Group C: Nigeria, Zambia, Egypt, Malawi

Group D: Ghana, Cameroon, Mali, Cape Verde
