Massad Boulos, President Donald Trump's advisor for Africa and on Arab and Middle Eastern affairs, arrived in Algeria last night. The U.S. embassy in Algiers released a brief statement with a photo, saying: «We are pleased to welcome Mr. Boulos back to Algeria for another visit, and we look forward to strengthening our partnership and continuing our joint efforts for peace and prosperity in the region.»

As of now, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not issued any official statement regarding Boulos's visit.

Prior to his arrival in Algiers, Boulos made stops in Tripoli and Benghazi, followed by Tunisia, as part of a regional tour focusing on discussions about stabilizing Libya.

This visit to Algeria comes shortly after a Polisario delegation returned from Washington without securing any tangible outcomes.

It's worth noting that Boulos previously visited Algiers in July, where he engaged in discussions with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
